The Weeknd’s net worth is estimated at $550 million as of October 2026, built on the highest-grossing tour ever by a male solo artist, a catalog deal reported at $1 billion, and a run of hits that includes “Blinding Lights,” which Billboard ranked as the best-performing song in Hot 100 history. Abel Tesfaye, the Toronto-born singer behind the name, was also Forbes’ highest-paid musician of 2025, with estimated pretax earnings of $298 million.
Estimates for The Weeknd vary more than for most stars. The widely repeated $600 million figure traces back to an unnamed source quoted by The Wall Street Journal in 2022, at a time when Celebrity Net Worth put him at half that. Since then his tour has passed $1 billion and he has turned part of his catalog into cash, so the picture has changed. The Radar Readout below shows the published figures side by side and the working behind our own number.

You vs. The Weeknd
At $60,000 a year, it would take you 9,167 years to earn The Weeknd’s estimated $550 million, before tax and without spending a cent. Forbes' estimate of his 2025 tour profit ($77 million) equals 1,283.3 years of your pay.
Sources and how we estimated this
We start from Celebrity Net Worth's spring 2022 figure of $300 million and trim it for taxes, spending and the share of catalog value that has since been turned into cash. We then add what he most likely kept from at least $1.345 billion in reported tour grosses (about 10 to 15 percent), Forbes' estimate that he pockets about $200 million from the Lyric Capital deal (less tax), and modeled royalties. His retained stake in the catalog and any real estate gains are not counted. How we fact-check

How The Weeknd’s $550 Million Net Worth Is Built
There is no audited figure for The Weeknd’s wealth, so we built one from the bottom up. Each lane has a low, central and high value, and the central values add up to the headline number.
| Lane | Central | Range |
|---|---|---|
| Starting fortune, spring 2022 (trimmed) | $230 million | $200 million to $270 million |
| After Hours Til Dawn tour, kept after costs and tax | $165 million | $130 million to $210 million |
| Lyric Capital catalog deal cash, after tax | $110 million | $80 million to $150 million |
| Royalties and new music, 2022 to 2026, kept | $45 million | $30 million to $70 million |
| Total | $550 million | $440 million to $700 million |
The starting point is Celebrity Net Worth’s spring 2022 estimate of $300 million, trimmed for taxes, spending and the part of his catalog value that has since been converted into cash (so it is not counted twice). The tour lane assumes he kept roughly 10 to 15 percent of at least $1.345 billion in reported grosses, which lines up with Forbes’ estimate of about $77 million in pretax tour profit for 2025 alone. The catalog lane starts from Forbes’ estimate that he will pocket about $200 million after fees and takes off tax. We do not add the stake he kept in his catalog or any gain on his homes, which is one reason the high end of the range sits at $700 million.
The After Hours Til Dawn Tour: More Than $1 Billion
Touring is the engine of The Weeknd’s fortune. The After Hours Til Dawn tour opened on July 14, 2022, at Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia and kept growing into one of the biggest runs in concert history. By mid-August 2025, Billboard Boxscore had it at $635.5 million and 5.1 million tickets, which pushed it past Beyonce’s Renaissance World Tour ($579.8 million over 56 shows) as the biggest R&B tour ever.
In November 2025, Billboard reported that the tour had passed $1 billion in worldwide grosses, with more than 7.5 million tickets sold across 153 shows. His team called it the top-earning tour by a male solo artist in history, and Live Nation has described it the same way. On Billboard’s 2025 year-end Boxscore chart, which covered October 2024 to September 2025, the tour ranked No. 4 with $336.7 million.
The run did not stop there. A 2026 leg opened on April 20 with three shows at Estadio GNP Seguros in Mexico City, and the 2026 schedule also took in Brazil. The 42-date Europe and UK leg, all sold out, grossed more than $345 million and drew over 2.3 million fans before closing on September 6 in Lisbon, according to Music Business Worldwide. Along the way he became the first artist to sell out six nights at Stade de France on a single tour. A final Asia leg, expanded from 11 to 17 dates, opened in Tokyo on September 19 and wraps this fall.
Gross is not take-home pay. Production, crew, promoters, agents and taxes take the large majority of every ticket dollar. Forbes estimated that he made about $77 million in profit from more than 40 shows in 2025, which is why our tour lane assumes he kept a fraction of the gross rather than the headline billions.
The Lyric Capital Catalog Deal
In December 2025, The Weeknd closed a deal with Lyric Capital Group, the New York firm that also owns Spirit Music Group, covering his masters and publishing from the start of his career through 2025. Variety, Bloomberg and Billboard sources put the value at about $1 billion, though neither side confirmed the price. Music Business Worldwide reported the deal was based on roughly $55 million a year in net label and publisher income.
This was not a traditional sale. His representatives said he would not sell his catalog, and the structure was set up as a partnership in which he and his team stay shareholders with creative control. Earlier Bloomberg reporting described a financing plan of $500 million in senior debt, $250 million in junior debt and $250 million in equity, and Forbes described most of the deal as debt. Future releases are excluded, so new music stays outside the arrangement.
For net worth purposes, the key number is cash in hand. Forbes estimates he will pocket about $200 million after fees. After tax, we count $110 million in our central case. Because he still holds a stake in the catalog, the true value to him could be higher, which our range allows for.
Hurry Up Tomorrow: Album and Film
The Weeknd released Hurry Up Tomorrow on January 31, 2025. It debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 with 490,500 equivalent album units, including 359,000 in pure album sales, his fifth chart-topping album.
A companion film of the same name was less successful. Lionsgate released Hurry Up Tomorrow in theaters on May 16, 2025. Tesfaye starred as a fictionalized version of himself, co-wrote the script, produced it through his company Manic Phase and co-composed the score with Daniel Lopatin. The film had a $15 million budget financed by Live Nation, opened with about $3.3 million from 2,020 theaters, and took roughly $7.8 million worldwide. Because Live Nation put up the money, the box office miss did not come out of his own pocket in any reported way, so we do not subtract it.
The film followed The Idol, the 2023 HBO series he co-created, co-wrote, executive produced, scored and starred in, which was cancelled after one season. Screen work has so far added more profile than profit to his fortune.
Super Bowl LV Halftime Show
The Weeknd headlined the Super Bowl LV halftime show on February 7, 2021. Rather than profiting from the slot, he told Billboard he put up $7 million of his own money to make the show match his vision. His manager, Wassim “Sal” Slaiby, said the spending was about making the show what he envisioned.
The payoff came later. The show came a little over a year after “Blinding Lights” was released in November 2019, and the stadium tour that followed became the main source of his wealth.
Real Estate: Bel Air, Miami and Past Sales
The Weeknd’s property moves are the most visible part of his fortune. In August 2021 he paid $70 million for a Bel Air estate of about 33,000 square feet on 1.6 acres overlooking Bel Air Country Club, one of California’s priciest home sales that year. It has a movie theater, a music studio, an indoor pool, a hammam and a sports court, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
In October 2025 he closed on a waterfront mansion in Coral Gables, Florida, for $50 million, according to records cited by Realtor.com, after the home was listed at just under $55 million. The house covers about 18,000 square feet and has a 140-foot private dock. The Wall Street Journal first reported the purchase.
He has also sold two Los Angeles homes. His Hidden Hills mansion went to Madonna in April 2021 for about $19.3 million. A full-floor penthouse at the Beverly West, which Celebrity Net Worth says he bought for $21 million in December 2019, sold in 2023 for roughly $18 million to $19 million depending on the report, a loss of a few million dollars.
We treat his homes as part of the starting fortune and tour savings rather than adding them on top, since the money that bought them came from the same income.
XO, Republic and the Business Side
The Weeknd co-founded XO in 2011 with Wassim “Sal” Slaiby, Amir “Cash” Esmailian and La Mar Taylor. XO became part of Republic Records in 2012, when he signed with the label, and the catalog deal keeps his partnership with XO, Republic and Universal Music Group in place. Universal Music Publishing Group still administers his publishing.
Other ventures have built his profile: he hosted the Apple Music 1 show Memento Mori from 2018 to 2022, was named a World Food Programme goodwill ambassador in 2021, and headlined Fortnite Festival in December 2023. By late 2025 the After Hours Til Dawn tour had also raised more than $8.5 million for the XO Humanitarian Fund and Global Citizen. Forbes notes that he plans to retire the stage name The Weeknd and go by Abel Tesfaye.
Why Other Sites Say $600 Million
| Source | Figure | Date | Notes |
|---|---|---|---|
| Celebrity Net Worth | $600 million | Dec 2025 | Updated after the Lyric Capital deal |
| Wall Street Journal source | Over $600 million | Spring 2022 | Unnamed source “with knowledge of his finances” |
| Celebrity Net Worth | $300 million | Apr 2022 | Said the $600 million claim likely overvalued his catalog and ignored taxes |
| Forbes | No net worth figure | Dec 2025 | $298 million in 2025 pretax earnings, No. 1 among musicians |
| Net Worth Radar | $550 million | Oct 2026 | Modeled, range $440 million to $700 million |
Our figure lands a little below the $600 million consensus for two reasons. First, the $600 million number started as an anonymous claim in 2022 that Celebrity Net Worth itself doubted at the time. Second, big headline numbers such as $1 billion in tour grosses and a $1 billion catalog deal shrink a lot once costs, debt and tax are taken out. With Forbes estimating $200 million in catalog cash and $77 million in 2025 tour profit, both before tax, a figure in the mid $500 millions is well supported, and $600 million sits comfortably inside our range.
How The Weeknd Compares
On Forbes’ 2025 list of the highest-paid musicians, The Weeknd’s $298 million put him ahead of Taylor Swift ($202 million), Beyonce ($148 million) and Drake ($78 million). His tour also passed the R&B touring records once held by Beyonce and Bruno Mars.
