Net Worth: $250 Million
Eminem’s net worth is among the richest rappers in the world. At $250 million, Marshall Mathers’ fortune is owed largely to his own music and the careers of other rappers that he helped launch.
It’s estimated that Eminem earns around $20 million per year without touring, and in the vicinity of $30 million to $50 million per year when he’s on tour and at times when he drops new albums.
Let’s examine Eminem’s net worth to understand how his albums and tours have worked into the equation along with his label Shady Records, and other deals the famous rapper has struck after more than two decades in the rap game.

ToggleEminem’s Net Worth And How His Music Contributed To His Fortune
While Eminem hasn’t launched a headphone company like his mentor, Dr. Dre, he has managed to sell a massive number of albums, both in physical form and via digital sales.
According to the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) Marshall’s digital sales have earned the rapper $107.5 million.
The rapper’s most well-received album, The Marshall Mathers LP has been certified platinum ten times with over 10 million album sales.
Using the ChartMasters Spotify streaming tool, we have also learned that Eminem’s lifetime streams have surpassed 38.6 billion plays. That total includes the rapper’s own songs and tracks where he was listed as a featured artist. Seven of the rapper’s songs have over one billion streams each.
Chartmasters shows Eminem nearing five billion “featured streams” as of November 18, 2013, those are streams in which his own songs are streamed.
To put that number into perspective, in 2021, the Eminem trackers at Southpawers broke down the rapper’s earnings on Spotify based on 3.6 billion featured streams.
“Spotify generally pays between $.00318 and $.00521 per stream to the artists, meaning you will need roughly 250 streams to make a dollar… If we multiply 3,600,000,000 streams by $.00318, and 3,600,000,000 streams by $.00521, Eminem earned between $11,448,000 ($11.4 million) and $18,756,000 ($18.8 million). Thus, the average earning for Slim Shady is $15,102,000 ($15.1 million).”
It’s likely that Eminem’s own songs have now earned the artist at least $20 million while his work as a guest artist on other tracks has likely added millions more to his net worth.
That number doesn’t even take into account any money Eminem has earned from Apple Music, Tidal, Napster, and other streaming services.
Editors note: The estimates from 2021 are outdated for 2023, where Spotify pays on average between $0.004 and $0.008 per stream, with big names such as Marshall Mathers often earning toward the top of that number.
Outside of streaming, Eminem has sold more albums than any other rapper in history. In March 2022, Billboard announced that Eminem had reached “73 million new certifications pushing his career RIAA Award total to 227.5 million; that number includes 166 million single certifications and 61.5 million album certifications.”
According to ASCAP, “Recording artist royalties usually range from 10% to 25% of the suggested retail price for top-line albums.” That means even with a very conservative estimate, Eminem has made at least $50 million from the sales of his songs, and that number may be closer to $100 million or even $150 million, given his ability to command a higher share of revenue.
Eminem Has Earned Millions From Touring
How popular is Eminem when it comes to touring? Despite more than 20 years in the business, his tours still rank at the top of Hip-hop earnings charts when he decides to hit the road.
In 2014 when Rihanna and Eminem toured together for the Monster Tour, they brought in $36 million.
The tour included just six shows over a two-week period. Eminem and Rihanna, who have collaborated numerous times, sold out some of the biggest stadiums in the United States while bringing in a massive $6 million per show.
In 2019, Eminem toured for his Rapture Tour, where he sold 336,800 tickets while bringing in revenue of $42.8 million. It was the number-one tour of the year by any artist, even when compared against the red-hot Travis Scott.
While data is not publicly available for every Eminem tour, it was estimated that between 2000 and 2010, the rapper was earning $17.4 million per year while touring alongside other rappers and singers, including Snoop Dogg, Limp Bizkit, and Jay-Z.

Eminem Has Been Partnered With Sirius XM For 20 Years
SiriusXM and Eminem signed a deal in 2004 that brought Shade 45 (Ch. 45) to the platform. The channel features interviews, album playbacks, and exclusive Eminem content in addition to the music of other hip-hop trailblazers.
The satellite radio provider has not publicly disclosed how much Eminem is paid for the channel, but given the 20 year relationship they have with the artist, it’s likely that Marshall Mathers has earned millions from his involvement in the platform.
Eminem’s Endorsement Deals
Eminem’s net worth has also increased thanks to his work with some very well-known brands.
Over the years, Eminem has pushed products for such brands as Nike, Carhartt, and G-Shock.
The rapper’s best-known brand endorsement is likely his 2012 Super Bowl commercial for Chrysler. The car company spent an estimated $12 million on the spot titled “Imported From Detroit,” and Eminem was likely paid millions for the ad spot.
The ad spot was a massive success, with Chrysler revealing that sales shot through the roof after the commercial aired.
Eminem’s net worth in 2023 at an estimated $250 million is impressive, especially when we consider that reaching that level after agent fees, taxes, and other expenses, means the rapper has likely earned over $500 million during several decades in the rap game.
