Bill Burr Net Worth: How Arena Tours, Netflix Specials and a Podcast Built $28 Million

Bill Burr’s net worth is estimated at $28 million as of October 2026, a fortune built mostly on more than three decades of stand-up. The Boston-area comic went from small clubs to selling out Madison Square Garden, the Los Angeles Forum and even Fenway Park, while a run of Netflix specials, the Netflix animated series F Is for Family, a long-running podcast and a steady acting career added to the pile.

Published estimates of Burr’s wealth range from about $12 million to $25 million, and none of them shows how it was worked out. Burr has never disclosed what he earns from touring or specials, and no trade outlet has reported those numbers, so any figure is a model. The Radar Readout below compares the published estimates, breaks our figure into income lanes and shows how wide the uncertainty is.

You vs. Bill

At $60,000 a year, it would take you 467 years to earn Bill’s estimated $28 million, before tax and without spending a cent. The reported price of his Los Feliz home in 2017 ($4.7 million) equals 78.3 years of your pay.

Sources and how we estimated this

We start from the most detailed recent estimate, Celebrity Net Worth's $25 million from September 2025, trimmed for taxes and spending. We then add what Burr most likely kept from about a year of theater and arena touring (roughly 10 to 15 percent of gross after crew, promoters, commissions and tax), his acting and production work, and his podcast business. No figure for his pay has been reported, so each lane carries a wide range. How we fact-check

How Bill Burr’s $28 Million Net Worth Is Built

Our model starts from Celebrity Net Worth’s figure of $25 million from September 2025, trimmed slightly for taxes and living costs, then adds what Burr most likely kept in the year since. Every lane has a range because none of his pay has been reported.

Income laneCentral valueRange
Starting fortune, September 2025 (trimmed)$23 million$18 million to $28 million
Touring kept, late 2025 to 2026$3 million$1.5 million to $5 million
Film, TV and production work$1 million$500,000 to $2 million
Podcast and All Things Comedy$1 million$500,000 to $2 million
Total$28 million$20.5 million to $37 million

For touring, we assume a comedian of his size keeps roughly 10 to 15 percent of gross ticket sales once venues, promoters, crew, agents, managers and taxes are paid. That share is the biggest swing factor in the model.

Stand-Up: From Canton to Fenway Park

Burr was born in Canton, Massachusetts, and earned a communications degree from Emerson College in 1993. He did his first stand-up set in March 1992 and moved to New York City in 1994, working clubs for years before landing a recurring role on Chappelle’s Show in 2004.

His live business grew steadily from there. In May 2015 he set a record at Boston’s Wilbur Theatre with 19 straight sold-out shows, almost double the previous mark of 10 held by Aziz Ansari, and the theater gave him a permanent seat to mark it. Later that year, on November 14, 2015, he sold out Madison Square Garden for the first time. He did it again on November 11, 2023.

The venues kept getting bigger. He sold out the 20,000-seat Los Angeles Forum in September 2018 and played London’s Royal Albert Hall in 2018 and 2019. On August 21, 2022, he became the first comedian to headline Fenway Park, drawing around 35,000 people in what Boston music site Vanyaland called the largest comedy show in the city’s history. In June 2024 he opened Tom Brady’s Patriots Hall of Fame ceremony at a sold-out Gillette Stadium, a set he later told his podcast was the biggest rush of his career.

Touring is almost certainly the largest part of his income, even though the grosses have never been published. That is why it carries the widest range in our model.

Netflix and Hulu Specials

Burr’s specials have done as much as anything to turn club crowds into arena crowds. You People Are All the Same arrived on Netflix in 2012 as one of the first stand-up specials made exclusively for the service. It was followed by I’m Sorry You Feel That Way (2014), filmed in black and white, Walk Your Way Out (2017), Paper Tiger (2019), recorded at the Royal Albert Hall, and Live at Red Rocks (2022), filmed at the Colorado amphitheater in the fall of 2021.

Paper Tiger earned him a Grammy nomination for Best Comedy Album in 2021. In 2025 he moved to Hulu with Drop Dead Years, which was nominated for an Emmy for Outstanding Variety Special (Pre-Recorded) and for a Grammy in 2026. No fee for any of these specials has been reported, so we fold them into his starting fortune and touring lane rather than guessing a number.

F Is for Family, Film and Broadway

Burr co-created F Is for Family with Michael Price for Netflix, executive produced it and voiced its lead character, Frank Murphy. The animated series ran for five seasons and 44 episodes, from December 2015 to November 2021. Creator, producer and lead voice credits on a five-season streaming show are a meaningful income source, although the deal terms were never disclosed.

On screen, he played Patrick Kuby in Breaking Bad from 2011 to 2013 and Migs Mayfeld in the first two seasons of The Mandalorian. His film work includes Date Night, The Heat, Daddy’s Home, The King of Staten Island and Unfrosted, in which he played John F. Kennedy.

In 2023 he made his feature directing debut with Old Dads, a Netflix film he co-wrote with Ben Tishler, produced with Miramax and his own All Things Comedy, and starred in alongside Bobby Cannavale and Bokeem Woodbine. Burr told Deadline the story was based on his own life and his co-writer’s.

His recent work has widened further. He made his Broadway debut in 2025 as Dave Moss in a revival of Glengarry Glen Ross, signed a first-look television deal with Fox through his North Hill Productions in August 2025, and joined the cast of the 2026 film The Social Reckoning. For the year since September 2025 we count his film, TV and production income at a cautious $1 million because none of the pay has been reported.

Monday Morning Podcast and All Things Comedy

Burr launched the Monday Morning Podcast in May 2007, long before podcasting became a big business, and still releases it today on his website, Spotify, YouTube and the All Things Comedy network. In 2012 he co-founded All Things Comedy with Al Madrigal as an artist-owned network that launched with 11 podcasts.

All Things Comedy has since grown into a production banner. In 2018 Comedy Central partnered with it on a stand-up series hosted by Burr and three one-hour specials, and it co-produced Old Dads. Wealthy Gorilla puts the network’s yearly revenue at about $5 million but says that figure cannot be verified, so we keep this lane small.

Real Estate

Burr’s best-documented asset is his home. Celebrity Net Worth and Wealthy Gorilla both report that he paid $4.7 million for a house in the Los Feliz area of Los Angeles in 2017. Wealthy Gorilla also reports that he bought a 2,663-square-foot Los Angeles villa in 2011 for $1.08 million and sold it in late 2018 for $1.65 million. We treat these properties as part of his starting fortune rather than adding them separately.

The lower figure seems hard to square with a comic who has sold out Madison Square Garden twice and drawn about 35,000 people to Fenway Park. Our higher number mainly reflects the year since Celebrity Net Worth’s last update, which included continued touring, his role in The Social Reckoning and the first year of his Fox production deal.
