Steven Bartlett Net Worth: How The Diary of a CEO and Steven.com Built $325 Million

Steven Bartlett’s net worth is estimated at $325 million as of October 2026, or about £244 million at the October 28, 2026 exchange rate of $1 to £0.751. Most of that figure is his stake in Steven.com, the holding company behind The Diary of a CEO podcast, which investors valued at $425 million in October 2025. The rest comes from what he kept from his creator earnings, his early career at Social Chain and a long list of startup stakes.

Published estimates for Bartlett run from about $39 million to $67 million, and most of them were written before the Steven.com funding round set a price on his company. Our figure is a model, not a reported number, so the Radar Readout below shows each part of the calculation and the range we think is realistic.

You vs. Steven

At $60,000 a year, it would take you 5,417 years to earn Steven’s estimated $325 million, before tax and without spending a cent. His Forbes-estimated creator earnings for one year ($52 million) equals 866.7 years of your pay.

Sources and how we estimated this

We start from the October 2025 Steven.com round, in which investors valued his holding company at $425 million and he kept more than 90%, and discount that paper stake because the company is private. We then add a conservative share of his Forbes-estimated earnings likely paid out to him after tax, plus his earlier wealth and startup stakes. Pound figures are converted at $1 = £0.751, the rate on October 28, 2026. How we fact-check

The Diary of a CEO: From Side Project to $60 Million a Year

Bartlett released the first episode of The Diary of a CEO on September 29, 2017. For its first few years it was a side project next to his agency work. In 2021 he said the podcast earned him about $1.2 million a year, mostly from sponsors.

The show then grew very fast. By late 2024 it had passed one billion streams and listens across Apple, Spotify and YouTube, and Forbes counted more than 50 million monthly listeners. In December 2025, Spotify said it had overtaken Joe Rogan as Britain’s most popular podcast on its platform. A September 2026 Financial Times profile, republished by The Irish Times, put the YouTube channel at 19.5 million subscribers.

The money followed the audience. Forbes put Bartlett’s creator earnings at $29 million on its 2025 Top Creators list, where he ranked ninth for earnings. On the 2026 list, published in June, Forbes raised that to $52 million (about £40 million), third behind only MrBeast and Dhar Mann. In April 2025, Forbes also reported that he turned down an offer estimated at $100 million from an unnamed streaming platform.

In an October 2026 interview with Fortune, Bartlett said the podcast is on track for about $60 million in revenue this year, from brand deals, owned products, memberships, events and other lines. He told Fortune he had turned down a large payment that would have required far more ads per episode and leaving YouTube. The FT reported that the show brings in more than 80% of his group’s revenue.

Social Chain: The First Fortune and the Questions Around It

Bartlett co-founded the social media marketing agency Social Chain in Manchester in 2014 with Dominic McGregor, after dropping out of Manchester Metropolitan University. In 2019 it merged with the German online retailer Lumaland to form Social Chain AG, which listed in Germany. Prolific North reported that his net worth was thought to be around £50 million at that time (about $67 million at today’s rate).

That early fortune is the hardest part of his wealth to pin down. Bartlett stepped down as CEO in 2020. The Times later reported that he owned less than a quarter of the Manchester business at the time of the merger and was no longer involved when Social Chain AG reached its highest valuations; Bartlett made a legal complaint about that article. The UK agency was sold to Brave Bison for £7.7 million in 2023, and Social Chain AG entered insolvency proceedings in Germany later that year. MoneyWeek says it is not certain whether Bartlett received anything from the 2023 sale.

Steven.com, FlightStory and the $425 Million Valuation

In 2021 Bartlett co-founded Flight Story with Oliver Yonchev. In March 2025 the group renamed itself FlightStory, with a studio arm that makes host-led shows such as We Need to Talk with Paul C. Brunson and Begin Again with Davina McCall, and a fund that backs health, consumer and technology startups. After Yonchev left, BusinessCloud reported that Bartlett bought 150,000 of his shares through SB Invest Ltd, on top of the 750,000 he already held.

UK Companies House filings give a partial view. Flight Story Group Ltd filed small company accounts for 2024 showing investments in subsidiaries carried at £11.3 million at cost and net assets of £3.9 million. Those are book values, not market values, and the filing does not include a profit and loss account. In May 2025 the company filed resolutions that included a demerger agreement, and in October 2025 Bartlett stepped down as a director, with his brother Jason Bartlett taking the seat. City AM reported that Flight Story remains majority owned by Bartlett and SB Invest.

The number that matters most came in October 2025. Steven.com, a US-incorporated holding company for his media brands, FlightStory, the Flightcast podcast hosting platform and the FlightFund, raised an eight-figure round led by Slow Ventures at a $425 million valuation. Bartlett kept more than 90% of the company. Fortune reported that he expects the holding company to bring in about $90 million in revenue in 2026 and about $160 million in 2027. The FT reported in September 2026 that talks were underway on a new raise above the $425 million mark, and that Bartlett was launching a joint venture with Authentic Brands to help other creators build media companies.

On paper, 90% of $425 million is about $383 million. We count his stake at $270 million in the central case because a private company valuation set by a small minority round is not cash, and the price for a larger sale could be lower. If the next round closes at a higher valuation, his stake would move toward the top of our range.

Investor: Huel, Thirdweb, PerfectTed and the Dragons’ Den Deals

Bartlett has built a wide portfolio, and BusinessCloud counts investments in around 60 businesses. Some of the notable ones:

  • Huel: Bartlett joined the nutrition brand’s board in 2021 and left it in early 2025, staying on as an investor; his Flight Story business is also a shareholder. In March 2026 Danone agreed to buy Huel in a deal valued at €1 billion (£864 million). His share of the proceeds has not been disclosed.
  • Thirdweb: The Web3 developer platform he co-founded raised $24 million in a Series A in August 2022 at a $160 million valuation. His stake is not public.
  • PerfectTed: He backed the matcha brand on Dragons’ Den in 2023 for a 5% stake and later put in a further £1 million. Dealroom data reported a £140 million valuation in October 2025.
  • Stan Store and Ketone-IQ: He became a co-owner of the creator commerce platform Stan Store in May 2025 and of Ketone-IQ in September 2025.
  • Zoe: His fund invested $2.5 million in the health science company in 2023, according to Prolific North.

Here is a video from his own Behind The Diary channel about the PerfectTed deal, titled after the brand’s growth from £9,000 a month to £12 million a year.

Bartlett joined BBC’s Dragons’ Den in 2021 as its youngest Dragon. In 2026 he moved to Los Angeles to build his American audience, and ABC named him a guest shark for Shark Tank Season 18 this fall. Here is ABC’s announcement clip, posted on its official channel.

Bartlett has also faced regulator action tied to his investments. In 2024 the UK Advertising Standards Authority banned Huel and Zoe ads on his podcast because they did not make his business ties clear.

The gap comes down to one question: whether to count the October 2025 valuation. Older estimates looked at Social Chain and his podcast income, and none of them were updated after investors put a $425 million price on his company. We count that stake, but at a discount, which is why our range is wide.

How Steven Bartlett Compares

Bartlett is far younger than most broadcasters who reached this level, and much of his wealth sits in a company rather than in salary. For comparison, Net Worth Radar estimates Howard Stern’s net worth at $700 million and Ryan Seacrest’s net worth at over $400 million. Steve Harvey’s net worth sits at $200 million on our site.

Among British TV investors, Simon Cowell’s net worth stands at $575 million. Two other creator and investor profiles worth reading are Logan Paul’s net worth, which we put at $110 million, and Ashton Kutcher’s net worth, built largely from tech investing.
