Theo Von’s net worth is estimated at $15.5 million as of October 2026, a modeled figure built mainly on his podcast This Past Weekend, years of sold-out Return of the Rat stand-up dates and three Netflix specials. The Louisiana comedian, who first found fame on MTV reality shows in 2000, now hosts one of the most played podcasts in the United States, and on October 20, 2026, Netflix released his first new hour in five years, Theo Von: I’m Doing Fine.

Published estimates for Von run from $4 million to $15 million, and they differ because none of them is based on reported earnings. He has never disclosed what the podcast makes, Pollstar has not published grosses for his tour, and no Forbes ranking has included him. The Radar Readout below shows each published figure and the lane by lane model behind our number, so you can see exactly where the $15.5 million comes from.

Modeled estimate. No outlet has reported his earnings, so this is a model built from a published estimate plus what his podcast, tours and Netflix work most likely added.

How the published estimates compare

Published figures run from $4 million to $15 million, and none of them cites a financial filing, tour gross or deal value.

You vs. Theo

At $60,000 a year, it would take you 258 years to earn Theo’s estimated $15.5 million, before tax and without spending a cent. His Nashville home, at its reported 2021 price ($1.65 million) equals 27.4 years of your pay.

Sources and how we estimated this

We start from the $10 million figure that was published in September 2025, trim it for taxes, spending and the cost of self-financing Busboys, then add what he most likely kept since: podcast and YouTube ad income, a lighter run of stand-up dates, his third Netflix special and merch. Each lane carries a low, central and high value, and the central values add up to the headline figure. Busboys is treated as roughly break-even and adds nothing. How we fact-check

How Theo Von’s $15.5 Million Net Worth Is Built

Because there is no verified figure, we start from the most widely cited older estimate and add what he most likely kept since. Celebrity Net Worth listed him at $10 million in September 2025, a number Distractify repeated at the time. We trim that to $9 million to allow for taxes, everyday spending and the money he put into his own film, Busboys, then add four income lanes.

LaneCentral valueRange
Starting fortune, fall 2025 (published $10 million, trimmed)$9 million$7.5 million to $10 million
This Past Weekend ads, YouTube and sponsors kept since fall 2025$3.5 million$2 million to $5.5 million
Late 2025 and 2026 stand-up dates kept$1.5 million$750,000 to $3 million
Netflix special I’m Doing Fine, fee kept$1 million$500,000 to $2 million
Merch store and other income kept$500,000$250,000 to $1 million
Total$15.5 million$11 million to $21.5 million

All of these values after the starting fortune are our own modeled estimates of what he kept after taxes, agents and production costs, not reported payments. The podcast lane carries the widest range because ad rates for a show of its size are private and vary widely from deal to deal.

This Past Weekend: The Podcast That Changed His Earnings

Von started This Past Weekend in 2016, after earlier podcast runs that included The Comedy Sideshow and three years of Allegedly with Matthew Cole Weiss. The show grew slowly at first and then very quickly. Spotify named it the fourth biggest podcast in the world in 2024, and by 2025 it was the second most streamed podcast in the United States on the platform, behind only The Joe Rogan Experience. In July 2025, TIME put him on its first TIME100 Creators list in the Leaders category.

The show makes its money in the usual ways for a talk podcast: host read ads, sponsorships, YouTube ad revenue and the audience it sends to his tour and merch store. Celebrity Net Worth counted 57 advertisers on the show over a 12 month period ending in early 2026, with close to five ads per episode. In March 2026, Tubefilter reported the show was drawing about 20 million YouTube views a month. Big brands have used it too. In February 2026, Pepsi extended its Super Bowl commercial onto the podcast, with the bear from the TV spot making a cameo on an episode, a campaign run with The Roost Podcast Network. Podnews did not report what the brand paid.

Spotify does pay some podcasters directly. According to CNBC, the company paid more than $100 million to podcast publishers and creators in the first quarter of 2025, and the report named This Past Weekend among its most popular shows. No figure for Von’s share has been made public, so our model does not assume one beyond general ad and platform income.

The business side has not always gone smoothly. In 2023, Von publicly accused his former network, Kast Media, of failing to pay his show its share of ad revenue. He told listeners on the podcast that he was owed a six figure sum for ads he had already read, and he left the network citing breach of contract. Kast Media did not respond to Mediaite’s request for comment at the time.

Return of the Rat: Stand-Up Touring in Arenas

The podcast audience turned into ticket buyers. Von’s Return of the Rat tour began in 2021, and by 2023 Pollstar listed him among the year’s top grossing comedy tours, noting his debut on the chart with theater dates. In early 2024 he took the tour to Australia, including a show at Melbourne’s John Cain Arena.

By 2025 he was routinely booking arenas. Venue announcements show a Return of the Rat date at Seattle’s Climate Pledge Arena on March 15, 2025, Bud Walton Arena in Fayetteville, Arkansas, on April 10, two showtimes at Nashville’s Bridgestone Arena on May 3, and Philadelphia’s Xfinity Mobile Arena on July 9, which the venue said was coming as the tour was selling out rooms around the country. His official site, as of late October 2026, says new tour dates are coming soon.

Pollstar’s published comedy coverage for its 2024 and 2025 chart years does not list Von’s grosses, so we do not use a gross figure. Instead, the model assumes a lighter touring schedule from late 2025 through 2026 than in his peak arena run, and applies the low share of ticket revenue a headliner typically keeps after venue costs, promoter fees, agents, crew and tax. That gives a central value of $1.5 million kept over the period.

Netflix Specials and Screen Work

Von’s first Netflix special, No Offense, came out in 2016, followed by Regular People in 2021. His third, Theo Von: I’m Doing Fine, premiered on Netflix on October 20, 2026. Netflix describes it as a revealing hour about his rural upbringing and his wilder experiences.

Here is the official trailer for the 2026 special, posted on Netflix’s YouTube channel.

Netflix does not disclose what it pays comedians for specials, and no fee for Von has been reported. Our model gives the special a central value of $1 million kept, with a wide range of $500,000 to $2 million.

Before the specials, Von built his name on television. He appeared on MTV’s Road Rules at 19 in 2000 and then competed on several seasons of The Challenge between 2002 and 2006. He competed on season 4 of Last Comic Standing in 2006, won Comedy Central’s Reality Bites Back in 2008 against a field that included Amy Schumer, Bert Kreischer and Tiffany Haddish, and hosted three seasons of the TBS hidden camera show Deal With It from 2013 to 2014. In 2024 he played a role in the comedy Sweet Dreams.

Busboys and Other Business Moves

Von’s biggest screen project so far is Busboys, a restaurant comedy he co-wrote and stars in alongside David Spade. JoBlo reported that the pair self-produced and self-financed the film, and Night Media, the talent company known for its early work with MrBeast, served as executive producer. Busboys opened in Cinemark and Regal theaters on April 17, 2026, and Wikipedia lists its box office at $2.6 million.

Here is the official Busboys trailer, posted on Von’s own YouTube channel.

Because the budget was never disclosed, we cannot say whether Busboys made or lost money for him. Our model trims his starting fortune to allow for what he spent and does not count any profit from the film. Beyond Busboys, he runs a merch store through his website with several clothing collections. We found no reported equity stakes or outside company investments in his name, so none are included.

His biggest known personal asset is his home. He moved to Nashville in September 2020, buying the former home of Vanderbilt football coach Derek Mason, and Celebrity Net Worth reports he paid $1.645 million for it in 2021.

The lower figures mostly copy each other and lag behind his career. The $10 million estimate circulating in 2025 came before his third Netflix special and before another year of a top two US podcast. Celebrity Net Worth raised its figure to $12 million in September 2026, which sits near the low end of our range. Our number is higher because we give more weight to the podcast’s scale and the arena run, but it remains a model, not a reported fortune.

How Theo Von Compares

Von’s money story is unusual among comedians because a podcast, not a sitcom or film franchise, did most of the lifting. For context, here is how he sits next to other comedians we cover:

  • Pete Davidson, whom Net Worth Radar estimates at $7 million, built his money from SNL, Netflix and stand-up rather than a podcast.
  • Dave Chappelle, at a Net Worth Radar estimate of $95 million, shows how far large Netflix deals and arena tours can go.
  • Kevin Hart, at a Net Worth Radar estimate of $400 million, turned stand-up into films and a media company.
  • Chris Rock is another comedian whose specials and tours drive much of his wealth.
  • Johnny Knoxville starred with Von in the 2024 comedy Sweet Dreams.
